Ceramic Shark Lamp Workshop

This workshop consists of two sessions, during which you will create your own lamp based on either a Great White Shark or a Hammerhead Shark, depending on your choice.

Session 1 — Sculpting

During the first session, you will hand-sculpt your own shark.

You will learn how to:

• build forms using clay slabs
• sculpt and attach details
• apply graphic decorative elements
• transform a sculpture into a functional ceramic lamp

Our instructors will guide you throughout the process, helping you shape the form and bring your creative ideas to life.

Duration: 4 hours.

At the end of the session, you will have a clay shark sculpture, which will remain in the studio for drying and the first kiln firing.

Session 2 — Glazing

The second session takes place no earlier than two weeks after the first.

During this class, you will give your lamp its final color and finish.
We will teach you how to work with ceramic glazes, explain their effects and properties, and help you achieve the desired look.

Duration: 2 hours.

After the final kiln firing, the finished piece can be collected from the studio or delivered via Nova Poshta.

KUST Ceramics Studio Policies

1. Storage of Works

Finished works are stored in the studio for 3 months starting from the date of the first class.
Please make sure to complete and collect your pieces within this period.

2. Booking Cancellation

If you cannot attend a booked workshop, please notify the studio at least 36 hours before the scheduled class.
Otherwise, the deposit or 50% of the certificate value will be forfeited.
