Turtle Lamp Workshop
This workshop is both simple and engaging, even though the lamp you create will be quite large.
Sculpting a ceramic lamp in the shape of a turtle is perfect for working together as a pair, and this does not affect the price.
Thanks to our step-by-step method and specially prepared templates, the “Turtle Lamp” ceramic workshop is easy and enjoyable. Although the workshop is scheduled for 4 hours, many participants finish their pieces in about 3 hours.
During the workshop, you will learn different hand-building techniques as well as ceramic glazing methods.
Session 1 — Sculpting
During the first session, you will sculpt your turtle lamp from clay with guidance from our instructors (duration: 4 hours).
At the end of the session, your piece will be left to dry and will then undergo its first kiln firing in a couple of weeks.
Session 2 — Glazing
During the second session, you will glaze your turtle lamp, while our instructors help you choose the colors, glazing techniques, and effects (duration: 2 hours).
After the session, the piece will be sent for the final firing, after which you will be able to collect your finished lamp.
Included in the Price
All materials, kiln firings, lamp hardware, and the light bulb are included in the price.
