Beluga Whale Lamp Workshop Gift Certificate

A beluga whale carrying light through the quiet of the sea.

In this workshop, you’ll create your own beluga whale ceramic lamp and learn several sculptural techniques. Our instructors will guide you through every stage, from the first details to the finished form.

First session — sculpting, 4 hours. You’ll learn to work with clay slabs and coils, shape your beluga whale, join its parts and add decorative details. The session is divided into short, manageable steps, so no previous experience is needed. Afterwards, your lamp will stay at the studio to dry and receive its first firing.

Second session — glazing, 2 hours. This takes place at least one week after the first. You’ll learn about the properties and effects of ceramic glazes, choose colours for your beluga whale and glaze your piece. We’ll then give it a second firing.

The result is a stylish, functional lamp made by you using professional sculpting clay and KUST’s signature technique.

The gift certificate is valid for 12 months and can be used at any studio in the KUSTceramics network.
