Gift Certificate for the Ceramic Whale Lamp Workshop
Gift Certificate for the Ceramic Whale Lamp Workshop in Kyiv
The whale symbolises freedom, the open ocean, and new horizons. In this workshop, the certificate holder will create their own whale-shaped ceramic lamp from clay—a functional art piece that brings atmosphere to any interior.
The workshop is suitable for beginners, with no previous experience needed. A KUST instructor will introduce the participant to our signature sculptural hand-building technique, help shape the whale, develop its details and textures, and prepare it to become a lamp.
How the workshop works
First session — sculpting, 4 hours
The participant creates the whale’s main form, refines its proportions and details, adds decorative elements, and makes openings for the light to shine through.
After the session, the piece stays at the studio to dry slowly before its first professional firing.
Second session — glazing, 2 hours
The participant chooses colours, learns about ceramic glazes, and decorates the lamp with guidance from an instructor.
After glazing, we complete the final firing and install the electrical fittings. The finished lamp can be collected from a KUST studio or delivered by Nova Poshta.
