Pottery session — 2 hours each
Glazing session — 3 hours each

Gift certificates for this course have no expiration date and can be used in KUST studios in Kyiv and Lviv.

Each session includes individual guidance from the instructor and independent practice to reinforce your skills.

What You Will Learn

During this pottery course you will master the key techniques of wheel-thrown ceramics.

Course Program

Session 1 – Introduction to Pottery
Understanding clay, tools, and equipment. Learning how to center clay on the pottery wheel.

Session 2 – The Cylinder
Practicing wheel control and creating the cylinder — the foundation of most pottery forms.

Session 3 – Basic Forms
Creating simple functional pieces such as cups, bowls, and small containers.

Session 4 – Complex Shapes
Working with proportions, walls, and refined shapes.

Session 5 – Texture & Chamotte Clay
Exploring chamotte clay and experimenting with surface textures and decorative elements.

What You Will Create

During the course you will produce a collection of handmade ceramic pieces, reflecting your progress and personal style.

You will also gain:

• experience working with different types of clay
• skills in pottery wheel techniques
• knowledge of glazing and firing processes
• the ability to create ceramics independently at home or in a studio

Work storage
Finished works are stored for 3 months from the first class.

Cancellation policy
Please notify us at least 36 hours before the class. Otherwise, the deposit or 50% of the certificate value will be forfeited.
