Ceramic Tableware Handbuilding Workshop
This workshop takes place in one session lasting 3 hours. During the class, you will learn the basic techniques of creating ceramic tableware and decorating it.
Each participant will create two pieces using handbuilding techniques such as slab building and hand shaping. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring creativity into your kitchen, making your breakfasts and gatherings with friends more stylish and personal.
Part 1 — Sculpting with Clay
During the first part of the workshop, you will shape your pieces from clay. With guidance from our instructors, you will create your forms, refine details, and add personal decorative elements.
Part 2 — Decoration
In the second part, you will paint your pieces using underglaze ceramic colors (engobes). Your task will be to give color and character to your tableware. We will teach you how to work with underglaze paints, explain their effects and properties, and share helpful tips to achieve beautiful results.
Final Stage
The final transparent glazing is done by our instructors. Your works will then go through the final kiln firing.
Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup about two weeks after the workshop, or we can ship them to you via Nova Poshta.
