Ceramic Workshop “Birds”

Immerse yourself in the magical world of ceramics by creating a unique bird-shaped lamp or sculpture at our creative workshop.

The “Birds” ceramic workshop consists of three sessions designed to help you bring your creative ideas to life and sculpt an impressive ceramic bird.

Thanks to our specially developed algorithm and teaching program, you can choose which bird you would like to create. It can be:

• an owl
• a toucan
• a raven
• a parrot
• a puffin
• or another bird based on your own idea

The only predefined element of the workshop format is the main body structure, while the rest of the sculpture — the head, wings, textures, and details — can be fully customized according to your creative vision.

Workshop Program

• Session 1 — Sculpting (4 hours)
Under the guidance of our professional instructors, you will create the base of your lamp or sculpture, learn how to work with clay slab techniques, and make a stand for your bird.
After the session, your work will be carefully packed and stored until the next class, which will take place within a week.

• Session 2 — Detailing (4 hours)
During this session the style and character of your bird will take shape. Our instructors will help you bring your idea to life using special techniques and creative methods that allow the sculpture to truly come alive.

• Session 3 — Glazing (2 hours)
At this stage you will glaze your bird and give it its final appearance. You can optionally use underglaze paints or special effect glazes. You will be able to choose the colors and combinations that match your creative vision.
After this session, the piece will undergo the final kiln firing, and you will be able to collect your finished lamp.

KUST Ceramics Studio Rules

1. Storage of works
Finished works are stored for 3 months from the first session. Please complete your pieces within this time.

2. Cancellation policy
If you cannot attend a class, please notify the studio at least 36 hours in advance. Otherwise, the deposit or 50% of the certificate value will be forfeited.
